An early Thanksgiving

So my business is closed.

I hand the keys back to the landlord on Saturday and I hate it.

My shop has been my baby for nearly ten years.

I’ve had 10 days of hard graft getting the place gutted. Trying to sell and clean out everything that’s not pinned down.

Last Friday I had a proper melt down. The fight had gone, the pains were sky high and I just couldn’t paint the smile on another second.

I got to the shop early and all I could see was the mountains of what still needed doing, rather than how much I had achieved.

I had to make an emergency call to my mum to scoop me off the floor.

Since then I’ve had the most amazing team come help out. My sister and her husband came grafting, my Mum’s donned the rubber gloves. My brothers been doing tip runs, Lou has been in and cracked the whip, I’ve had endless emotional support from my mate Kaz who lives 200 miles away and as always Ive got my husband and my kids to hold my hand.

Sometimes you just have to stop a moment and be thankful for those around you.
